De acuerdo en todo... Y para mi si, me ha llegado como hacia mucho que no me pasaba... Me parece un "estado de animo" o una "etapa vital" o lo que quiera que sea mega creíble ahora... No se, la veo súper intima y preciosa la verdad.... La belleza de lo simple y creo que va a corazón abierto... A mi me encanta!

Con respecto a la temática del disco, al hilo de lo que escribe Cateto, yo creo que va más allá de la historia de los 45 años en estado de "animación suspendida" y la vuelta a la realidad en el futuro. Me parece que todo tiene un sentido más espiritual, que tiene más que ver con el paso del tiempo y el envejecer, la desconexión emocional y superficialidad de nuestra época, el desamor y el sentido de la vida y la muerte.

En ese aspecto para mi las voces femeninas del disco actúan como ángeles o salvadores. Es más evidente en el caso de Lianne la Havas en las affirmations o Delilah en los etéreos coros de Way back home, pero también en las delicadas aportaciones de Andy Allo como representación del amor. Por ejemplo en el último verso de The breakdown es precioso como entra su voz junto a la sencilla melodía de piano para rescatar a Prince de la depresión.

También es interesante como cambia el sentido de la letra de Funknroll de un disco a otro según el contexto. En PE es una gran fiesta final pero en AOA al ir detrás de Way back home, que tiene que ver con la esperanza en la trascendencia de la vida después de la muerte, funciona como celebración de bienvenida al más allá. Por eso el "So finally beloved we meet at last" para mi tiene un paralelismo evidente con el "Dearly beloved" del Lets go crazy y todo su discurso del "Afterworld".

Es un disco fascinante.

Muy buena reflexión, goldie. A mí también me parece un disco fascinante, y cada vez que lo escucho me gusta más. Lo que me pasa es que por primera vez desde que sigo a Prince (2005) me siento a escuchar un disco nuevo suyo y es eso, UN DISCO, y no una colección de canciones. La diferencia entre ambas cosas tal vez sea difícil de explicar (al menos para mí) pero es muy notoria al oído y al sentimiento que nos deja al terminar de escucharlo. Y debo decir que en todos estos años Prince ha hecho montones de cosas que me gustan muchísimo, pero este disco me presenta una experiencia diferente y estoy muy contento y agradecido de que así sea.

El primero AOA, presenta casi al mejor Prince, aquelguitarrista extraordinario que revolucionó el soul&funk&roll en los años 80 a golpe de talento y atrevimiento, ahora ya mas previsible pero no menos fascinante.
