1986 -  "Can I Play With U?" tema grabado en los Estudios Sunset Sound de Hollywood, el 26 de Diciembre de 1985 (mismo día que A Couple of Miles).
El 1 de Marzo de 1986, Miles Davis, le añade trompetas a la canción en los Estudios Capitol Recording, Los Angeles CA. Lástima, ni Miles Davis ni Prince quedaron satisfechos con el resultado final después de haber escuchado el resto del álbum. Y como era de esperar, Prince pidió que este tema fuese eliminado, ya que según su criterio no encajaba con el estilo del mismo. Este tema nunca fue editado.



1993 - Se publica el single "The Morning Papers / Live 4 Love" en el Reino Unido. The Morning Papers era el 4º y último single que salía a la venta de su décimocuarto álbum, "The Symbol" y segundo que le era atribuído también a Prince y the New Power Generation.



1993 - Sale a la venta el álbum de Candy Dulfer's "Sax-A-Go-Go", que incluía un tema escrito por Prince, titulado "Sunday Afternoon".

Un día como hoy, 02 de abril en el año...

1998 - Obituario: Rob Pilatus (Milli Vanilli)
Rob Pilatus, ex componente de los polémicos Milli Vanilli (los falsos cantantes), resultó herido en la cabeza por un bate de béisbol cuando intentaba robar un coche en Hollywood (California, EE UU).

Tuvo que ser hospitalizado urgentemente. Años después del gran fiasco que supuso Milli Vanilli y el descubrimiento de que no eran ellos quienes cantaban, comenzó su decadencia personal a principios de 1995, involucrándose en varios actos de vandalismo callejero y diversos asaltos. Fue condenado a meses de prisión por varios de estos delitos. Poco después, intentó, sin éxito, rehabilitarse de su adicción a las drogas. Dos años más tarde, el 2 de abril de 1998, fue encontrado muerto con una sobredosis de pastillas y alcohol en un hotel de Frankfurt (Alemania).

Junto a su compañero Fab Morvan, el otro 50% de Milli Vanilli, protagonizó uno de los episodios más penosos de la historia del pop. Cuando se descubrió el pastel, y tras haber conquistado a medio mundo con su música, se les retiró el Grammy conseguido, algo insólito en el mundo de la música.

No creo que pueda tratarse de décadas anteriores, supongo que en ese caso sí la hubiesen mencionado (para evitar confusiones) o se lo habrían concedido antes. Pero vamos, esta es una conclusión mía, puedo estar equivocada...... yo lo había dado por hecho

Sí, si yo también supongo que serán los 90s pero no deja de ser curioso que en el 87, 88, 91 o 92, por ejemplo, no estuviera ni nominado con albumes como SOTT, Lovesexy, D&P o O(-> y, sin embargo, cuando su impacto se reducía prácticamente a chistes sobre su cambio de nombre le premian. Entiendo que merece ese premio, ¿pero en 2000?. En el 92 se le rindió tributo, en forma de actuación, pero vergonzantemente eran Color Me Bad, Natalie Cole o MCHammer los que subían a recoger premios  . Para mí los 90s fueron en general una mala época en el R&B, pero ahí estaba gente como Timbaland o Dr. Dre que hicieron grandísimas cosas en esa década.

Kiss es el primer single que se lanza de su octavo álbum "Parade", el tercero en ser acreditado a Prince & The Revolution. Salió siete semanas antes de que se lanzara el álbum.
