Yo creo que ha escojido este tema como adelanto del disco porq resulta muy comercial, acordaos de TMBGITW anda q no hay canciones mejores en ese disco! y en cambio a todo el mundo le encantaba esa canción, con Prince nunca hay que precipitarse en el estilo del disco

Si, pues en la gira del Musicology bien que hizo un grandes exitos de toda la vida, dejando
en un segundo plano los temas del nuevo disco. Incluso la "Intro" era un autohomenaje a epocas anterioes.

a ver si me alaro... le decimos a prince que repita discos o que rechace su pasado?

Yo lo unico que espero es que haga discos alegres, divertidos, frescos, bailables, con alguna baladita y todo ello impregnado de funky-jazz. Sólo eso.
Que se copie al menos de los "The Crussaders", con saxos, trompetas, guitarras funk, jams...

No lo que hace ultimamente, baladas que, aunque no suenan man, son tristes. melancolicas y canciones de medio tiempo.

Pa quien no haya visto el vídeo aún, os adelanto que sale Prince jugando con una manzana, aliñándose una ensalada, haciendo como que lee y tirándose a una piscina(?)  . La fotografía buena, pero el guión como que no me va, pelín clasista. Los protas muy guapos, esos sí.

I was in such tsunami myself when I first heard Prince's latest single, TE AMO CORAZON. It had less to do with romantic love (ahem, I'm still waiting for Mr. Goodbar, where are you?) and more to do with love of self. Maybe deep down I'm just an emotional marshmallow (yeah, like you ain't) but the chords and the tentative way in which its sung.. (mercy!!), lead me to an emotional overhaul. It bears witness to the ties that bind or release us; our feelings, our fears and our loves. Yes ladies, I was feeling this song.

As soon as I heard the video had been completed, I was ready to focus in on a magnetic picture of innocence, love and mystery. I was not disappointed, for Beauty is as beauty does! Salma Hayek has an exquisite eye for making the enigmatic L word an open invitation to touch, experience and indulge your senses. The incredible cinematography and sumptuous surroundings translate the mood of TE AMO CORAZON into an international understanding. Prince has never looked more beautiful and inviting. Mia Maestro, so soft and angelic. At first viewing.. my mind's eye told one story. By the fifth time, I had created a rich and complicated twist of wanton appreciation for the search.

Finally! The PRESS CONFERENCE. Obviously, after receiving first dibs in listening and viewing the video, I was very much biased. (Well, I am!) When you find a brilliant gem you want everyone else to appreciate it as much as you do. Never having been to a press event before, I'm quite sure they usually don't take place in the middle of Marrakesh. Okay, so maybe it's just the penthouse suite at a five star hotel transformed into Morocco, nonetheless the sensual mood met you at the door with an ooze of incense coupled with the visual of dimly lit candles and rich tapestries draped throughout. A bit different from your average press conference, indeed. As I sat among the flashing lights and occasionally eavesdropped in on all the name dropping (guilty, oh so guilty) I felt a quiet movement take place. The first chords of the song were being played on a video screen in front of us. Immediately, the smell of tuberose and gardenia became softly stronger and the energy shifted from aggressive to open. Just like the mind's eye opens to receive light -- the illumination was felt like a silent electrical current from beginning to end. When the lights refocused... there appeared our man. A deafening burst of applause permeated the room.

Prince graciously smiled while a stunning Mia Maestro dressed in an exquisite simple black sheath with diamond bangles and Prada shoes (yes I looked) beamed. Prince wore an amazingly chic cream-colored nehru jacket with a silk black dress shirt underneath. Apparently he nicked the design from an old picture of Stevie Wonder from the early 70's. (bet u'all didn't know even Stevie had some Superfly in him!) and of course, as always, looked impeccable. Questions were immediately lobbied back and forth, most of course, which will be highlighted by your Access Hollywood or Entertainment Tonite. However a few asked about a tour. Prince didn't want to talk about it yet but he did say "I'm inviting some of my old friends. U'll find out about it." He also said that the new single was not indicative of a "latin" feel of the new CD[/size]. When asked about Universal, Prince wanted to make it clear that basically his deal with them is the same as with Sony in 2004. It is not a contract. He challenged all artists to "question their respective deals and ask about digital rights, ownership of master recordings and sequel rights. Upon closer examination, alot of these clauses r suspect." And he'll be independent for long time. Any deal is within his interest and a structured agreement to his liking. A special interview with a VH1 host had taken place privately with Prince and Mia so there are sure to be tidbits not seen or heard to come!

All in all, it was a beautiful day in sunny Morro..California and I was a part of it.

Everyone should savor the piece de resistance of Prince's latest -- the actual journey in discovering every slight chord change, every petal dropped, and every coy look. The path of appreciation is open to all who want to come. Don't you wanna? 3121.

Tengo que decir que la cancion gana mucho con el video, muy guapo por cierto. Se nota que ha tenido poco que ver en el. Mi opinion sobre el tema ha mejorado sensiblemente y me ha despertado el interes por el disco.

Habra que esperar.

Pues sí, eso de "He also said that the new single was not indicative of a "latin" feel of the new CD" (para los que no entienden inglés: "También dijo que el nuevo single no indicaba que el nuevo CD tuviera ese sentimiento latino") me tranquiliza mucho, muchísimo
Espero con ansia el disco nuevo...seguro que al final no me resulta tan decepcionante...(crucemos dedos  )

El vídeo está bien hecho, con un entorno precioso, colores y tal, digamos que la forma me gusta pero el contenido me da un poco igual. Sigo pensando en "Los Reyes del Mambo", no lo puedo evitar  

Y yo creo que es un cha cha chá ralentizado o algo del estilo, pero una rumba no, por dios...jajaja estaría bien ver a Prince cantando: "Ay, borriquito como tú, tururú!"

No os comáis el coco, es una balada pop con un arreglo rítmico tirando a Bossa Nova y con aire de bolero. Ni rumba, ni  bachata ni mucho menos merengue.

A mi el tema me gusta, pero como ha dicho Shocka, también me tranquiliza mucho que haya dicho que el resto del disco no sigue esa estética latina

Es cierto, es bastante distinto a lo que ha hecho hasta ahora, lo cual motiva bastante a escucharla entera, ¿verdad?
De todos modos, a mí no me parece un tema con mucho potencial comercial, la verdad, más bien creo que pasará bastante desapercibido, una vez más. Qué manía tiene en sacar singles con canciones lentas.... Yo creo que para que un disco tenga gancho comercial debería sacarse un tema bailongo (tipo Madonna), no una bossanova...

Considero comercial todo aquello que, mucho o poco, se venda. Habra cosas que nos puedan parecer talentosas y otras no, pero dentro de un mismo mercado.

En cuanto al simil con Madonna y, dejando las diferencias musicales de forma o contenido, el objetivo es identico: vender. Y los videos en la MTV o VH1, como trabajar con Salma Hayek son la prueba.

No nos engañemos: Prince es un equilibrista en el terreno comercial.

Lo estoy viendo, si fuera una nueva B-Side del vault que hubiese aparecido, todo el
mundo diciendo que es una maravilla, pero como es el nuevo y "decepcionante" single,
no se mide por el mismo rasero.

¿Utilizarias el mismo rasero para medir este tema si no fuera de Prince?

Pues si te soy sincero (mi esfuerzo me cuesta) no lo sé, la verdad. Pienso que sí, porque a mi ésta onda bossa me mola muchísimo (tengo debilidad por la bossa nova). Pero no hay nada seguro en esta vida.

Necesito perspectiva temporal, porque ahora me apabulla la novedad. Pero algo está muy claro, cuando salió el SST, lo escuché un par de veces y en seguida tuve las ideas clarísimas. Cuando sacó el 'Glass Cutter' lo escuché como 15 veces porque sencillamente me encanta. Pero con 'Te Amor Corazón' no sé que pasa que no puedo parar de oírla, debo llevar ya como 40 veces entre ayer y hoy, y no creo haber escuchado tantas veces muchas de mis canciones preferidas. Hay algo en ella que me atrae irremediáblemente.

En cuanto a lo de que nos traguemos todo lo que haga Prince, por supuesto que no, conocido es mi rechazo visceral hacia el Rave (que en principio me gustó tb, pero le fui cogiendo manía con el tiempo) y otras canciones varias de su discografía.

Pero sinceramente, no creo que deje de gustarme ésta canción. Tiene muchos elementos que me atraen, objetivamente hablando.
