yo estuve, fue solo una hora y no dio tiempo de preguntarle gran cosa. estuvo bien dirigido, lo que me parecio mas interesante es que sheila esta trabajando en un proyecto gospel con un joven latino del este de LA y vuelve a salir de gira con Ringo Star en julio, por lo demas nada de informacion nueva, mucho piropo y poco mas.


al final se supuso q Prince rondaba por la habitacion y todo el mundo empezo a decirle que volviera a hacer gira por donde ellos vivian, algunos gritaron ( y gritamos) " Prince come 2 Spain" y cosas por el estilo.

Sheila E: I have never gone to school for music lessons. It's only from my heart that I learn.

Sheila E: My foundation is for abused and abandoned children. We are trying to bring music to their lives to help them heal.

butter4yomuffin: Back in 1986 I interviewed U in Holland 4 a radio show while U were promoting Holly Rock. I was the blond guy (Jon) with the taperecorder that broke down during the interview. U were so kind to put ur painted nails into my recorder 2 try 2 fix it... In the end U had Eddy M (if I'm correct) get his recordable walk-man from the dressing room with which we did the interview after all....do U recall that experience???

pasi: Hi Sheila! In the 80's tours you were using some drumloops which sounded like they were coming from a Linn-machine. Did you use some kind of ADAT system?

Sheila E: One conga drum because that's what I started on at the age of 3. It's closest to my heart

I'm just a woman too ), but the truth can be said, right? At Nighttown (last year) for example U were doing so great!! and I think it's wonderful to see someone put so much passion in her job like U do, whether U play, sing or both. Might I ask U what it is about U'r job, U like Most?

Sheila E: Too many, but Herbie Hancock, George Duke, to name a few.
McD: Hi Sheila. Was there any significance to the name/song title 'The Belle of St Mark'? I've just adored the track since I bought the UK single aged around 10 (and have played it on a loop all night in anticipation...) Anyway, I've just always been interested in the unique title. Part of the wording is French (obviously), the song starts with the Chimes of Britain's own Big Ben (on the album, not my original vinyl single), the lyrics are more specific to the male love interest that normal love songs, and I have no idea where 'St Mark' comes into all this. Any clues? And thanks for everything. Love, McD (fan of almost two decades).
