Test Drive The 2006 Musicology Download Store

The NPGMC tech crew has been hard at work building a brand new Musicology Download Store in time 4 the much anticipated 3121. We are now ready 2 release a beta version of the store 4 all the members 2 try out and give feedback on b4 we make the complete switch.

This is just the first step in a much larger plan 2 upgrade the store from top 2 bottom. Here is a short-list of some of the 2006 Store features:

- Real-time search function
- Ability 2 preview digital audio AND video files
- Fully functioning EQ visualization
- Ability 2 check ur previous downloads directly from within the store
- Ability 2 store volume/pan settings as well as store ur custom color scheme
- Live download queue
- Live update of prices based on if ur a member or not
- Full checkout process with real-time validation engine within the store
- Banner rotation engine with "live" links 2 media 2 keep u updated on all the latest releases
- All of ur info (not including sensitive CC info) is now stored so u only need 2 enter in ur CC number at time of purchase
- We have streamlined the checkout process 2 make it as quick and easy 2 start downloading and stop filling in text boxes.

Our goal is 2 create a unique experience 4 members and 2 create something that no other artist is offering. We are releasing this preview (beta) now 2 get ur feedback. We will compile a list of member requested changes, continue making updates and eventually phase out the current Musicology Mixer.

Current features being worked on are:

- Ability 2 send a track preview 2 a friend or another community member.
- Quick launch (bypass the current intro animation process)
- Ability 2 purchase & download album art from within the store's interface.
- View an RSS feed of all new releases (What's RSS? http://www.xml.com/pub/a/2002/12/18/dive-into-xml.html)
- Full graphic-lite HTML version (non-Flash)
- Remove the requirement 2 login from within the interface if accessing from another section of the club

And the 2006 Download Store is just the first component of upgrades 2 the entire NPG Music Club xperience that we will be making starting now.
