He leído ésto por ahí

"As a lot of Prince fans know, there was an infamous gig as opening act for The Rolling Stones in 1981, in Los Angeles, where Prince & the band were booed off stage. Tomatoes, raw chicken, beer bottles, and more were tossed at the group, almost making contact. Fast forward to 1985, and Prince And The Revolution releases "Pop Life", and in the middle of the song, there's a few seconds of a crowd booing. That audio is actually from the aforementioned 1981 gig.

Although some of us know the basic points of the story, we've never really heard the band talk about it in full. Not like this! On Thursday's edition of The Ernest Experience Radio Show, with gracious permission of Girl Bros Radio and Lisa's MusicLAB, in conjunction with Ernest Radio Network, the story will be rebroadcast. This is the original broadcast from June 2009 on Girl Bros. Radio and Lisa's MusicLAB.

Lisa called her former bandmates, including drummer Bobby Z., guitarist Dez Dickerson, and keyboardist Dr. Fink to let them recall and retell the story, as well as telling her own version. We will also hear from Wendy Melvoin, who wasn't in the band yet, but was at the gig. Lisa took a lot of time to edit together all the stories, plus music and sound effects to bring this classic tale of Prince history to life, all over again.

The Ernest Experience Radio Show airs at 9 p.m. Eastern on BlogTalkRadio. The chat room will be open, as will the phone lines at 1.347.746.EERS (3377) or 1.347.989.1942. If you miss the live broadcast, the archive podcast will be posted soon after the show airs.

This huge, and pivotal piece, of Prince history is not to be missed! See you there!

Eso es un mito, en realidad se trata de un sample:

Rumors have suggested that the booing crowd sampled in the song is from Prince's infamous opening act for the Rolling Stones, from October, 1981, but the samples in fact come from a sound library set by the company Sound Ideas (Delirious, Lady Cab Driver, Something Funky (This House Comes) and Live 4 Love also use samples from this series, and the computer keystroke noises and computer confirmation beep, as well as the vault door sample heard throughout The Gold Experience are also from this series).
