El Poblado de Prince

Esto está que arde. Diez días para elegir las 25 canciones favoritas de Prince para el Poblado. Después de mucho pensarlo, he decidido que participan en esta ronda todas aquellas canciones que en la anterior encuesta recibieron un mínimo de siete votos. En total, salen justas 75 canciones. Están listadas por orden de votos conseguidos hasta ahora: es decir, que las 25 favoritas son las primeras 25 que cita la encuesta y así sucesivamente. Será muy difícil elegir esta vez. Como nota curiosa, señalar que la canción número 69 es "Dirty mind". :wink3:

He tratado de representar los discos que para mí mandan a Prince al olimpo de los dioses y que le valdrán la categoría de leyenda de la música. Cada disco era un nuevo viaje y cuando uno dejaba caer la aguja en el plato, no sabía qué mundo nos iba a descubrir Prince en esa ocasión. Luego no le quedaron sitios por descubrir y se "limitó" (que no es poco) a regresar a cada uno de ellos con mayor o menor fortuna.

Ya en la ronda anterior no había ninguna canción representativa ni de "For you", "Goldnigga", "The beautiful experience", "1-800 new funk", "Exodus", "Girl 6", "Chaos and disorder", "Emancipation", "Kamasutra", "The truth", "Rave un2 the joy fantastic", "Rave in2 the joy fantastic", "One nite alone... live!", "It ain´t over", "Xpectation", "N-E-W-S", "The chocolate invasion" ni "The slaughterhouse". Ni tampoco ninguna versión, ninguna canción de Prince cantada por otro artista ni ninguna cara b que no esté incluida en "The hits/ the B-sides". Ningún álbum, ni siquiera "Purple rain", consigue que se incluyan todos sus discos en esta lista. Por otra parte, "Sign "O" the times" sigue arrasando entre nuestras preferencias.

El sufrimiento es compartido. Me he acordado de alguna canción del tipo Lady Cab Driver o Rockhard in a funky place o Cindy C (me falta en la lista alguna de ese tipo/estilo) pero al final creo que ha sido mejor porque sino más me habría costado. ¡TREMENDAMENTE DIFICIL! En fin, allá va mi lista:

eldoctorjota, en mi caso ninguna otra tiene que darle permiso para ser mi preferida del album ;). Una canción llena de vibración, de silencios sonoros, de energía, una historia que transmite, se mantiene con ella su esencia negra funkoide,... en fin, se nota que en mi lista estaría entre las 25, no?

Con respecto al "club 88", no me parece ilógico que coincidamos si tenemos en cuenta que aquel Prince era una olla a presión, toda una ebullición de ideas, sentimientos viscerales sin control, todo eso de un modo u otro se trasmite en el resultado. Además estamos hablando de nuestras 25 preferidas del listado, y eso son palabras mayores. Aún así, somos muchos y seguro que hay mucha gente de un "club post 88". Y es que es la eterna cantinela de para gustos, colores.

Supongo que debe haber gente de ese club, pero no participan en esta encuesta. En realidad puede haber uno porque de 21 personas que votaron en las selección de 50, 20 lo hicieron a "Sometimes it snows in April" y de 18 que hemos votado, 17 votaron "Sign of the times".
Tampoco somos muchos los "club pre 88", sólo dos que lo hayamos hecho públco. Así que la gente suele tender a no ingreasr en club alguno  ;D.
En mi caso, me gustan muchas canciones post 88, pero si hablamos de favoritas y de llegar a un número tan reducido como 12, el corazón no me dejará salirme mucho del "quinquenio de oro". Y es que el primer amor, nunca se olvida  ;).

Anuncio que voy a cerrar antes de lo previsto esta encuesta. Seguramente lo haga dentro de dos días, concretamente el día 20 de mayo, en vez de hacerlo el 22 de mayo como tenía pensado en un principio. El motivo es que a partir del día 20 de mayo voy a estar hasta arriba de ocupaciones, y prefiero dejar preparada esta encuesta y la siguiente en vez de hacer esperar.

Como puede observarse, hemos tenido en cuenta las votaciones anteriores para ordenar la lista. Se ha precisado un mínimo de 9 votos, de 23 posibles, para aspirar a entrar en este exigente listado. Sin embargo, tendrán una oportunidad más en la siguiente ronda "I would die 4 U" (que a punto estuvo de entrar en las 25, si no fuera por los resultados anteriores) y todas las canciones que lograron al menos 8 votos:

Como notas más curiosas, cabe señalar que "Sign "O" the times" ha desbancado de la primera posición a "Sometimes it snows in April" (por ahora); y que al final nos quedamos con una sola versión de "She´s always in my hair", la incluida en "The hits/ The B-sides". A punto ha estado de quedarse fuera de las 25, al competir en cierto modo consigo misma (es decir, con la versión de "Ultimate"). Es de esperar que en la próxima encuesta obtenga más votos, al presentarse en solitario.

Las subidas más espectaculares creo que han sido "The ballad of Dorothy Parker" y "Sexy M. F."; mientras que "Mountains" ha obtenido un puesto más bajo del esperado en los pronósticos iniciales. El codiciado número 69 se lo queda finalmente "Extraordinary".  :wink3: Muchas gracias a todos por la participación.

"Sign "O" the times" aporta 7 canciones de 25 posibles; haciendo podio dos de ellas ("If I was your girlfriend" y la más votada hasta el momento, "Sign "O" the times").
