NC's Maceo Parker & Band, w/Son Corey Parker, on Carson Daly Show This Week!
After completing "The Father, The Son, and The Funk" Showcase tour (Sept 17-Sept 25), where Corey Parker and his 7-piece band opened for his father's legendary funk unit at several prestigious venues, (including the Houses of Blues in San Diego and Hollywood and the Fillmore in San Francisco), Maceo Parker and his band, including Corey, took up residence at NBC's "Last Call with Carson Daly" where they were the house band for the entire week. Several songs from Maceo's past and present cd's were performed, and Corey performed the self- written single, "Born Funky" from his upcoming release. The shows are scheduled to air this week (Oct 4-Oct 7). Pics on the website later this week. Don't forget to set your dvr's or vcr's to record Carson at 1:30am on NBC!

Also, before joining his father's band on a 7-week European tour beginning mid-October, Corey and his band will headline the Greenville News Fall For Greenville Festival in Greenville, SC @ 9pm on the Bud Light Stage on October 14 and return to Raleigh, NC for the ALWAYS WILD, Barrister's Ball at King's - 424 S. McDowell St in downtown Raleigh on Oct 15.
