Prince Sued Over Airport Incident

A college student has sued Prince and his bodyguard for allegedly assaulting him after he took a picture of the rock star as he was getting off a flight at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

Anthony Fitzgerald of Edina, Minn., filed the lawsuit yesterday (April 7) in Hennepin County District Court. It alleges Prince's bodyguard, identified only as "Trevor," lunged at Fitzgerald "in an aggressive, threatening manner," then grabbed his digital camera, leaving him "stunned and humiliated."

The lawsuit over the Dec. 29 incident alleges assault and battery, loss of the camera and intentional infliction of emotional distress that left Fitzgerald anxious and unable to sleep. Edina attorney Frank Berman said the lawsuit, dated Jan. 14, was filed yesterday because Prince's "people" wouldn't accept a copy of it. Fitzgerald is asking the court for instructions on how to serve him with it.

A Prince spokesperson was familiar with the lawsuit at deadline. The artist is in the midst of an extensive tour in support of his new album, "Musicology," which touches down tonight in Ames, Iowa. "Musicology" will be released April 20 via Columbia.

Al parecer un tío le hizo una foto a Prince y uno de los gorilas golpeó y quitó la cámara digital a esta persona. Esto fue en diciembre del 2003 y ahora, 4 meses después, le mete la demanda.
