Como le prometí a eldoctorjota, seguiremos reduciendo canciones hasta llegar a las 12 que formarán el disco perfecto de Prince para el Poblado. En cuanto lleguemos a 12 canciones, cederé el testigo a eldoctorjota, quien ha tenido la brillante idea de que vayamos procediendo por eliminación hasta que sólo quede una canción de Prince. Él se ocupará entonces de las encuestas.

Mi idea inicial era descansar después de descubrir las 100 mejores canciones de Prince para el Poblado, pero ahora me parece muy atractivo tratar de llegar a 12. Así que, por favor, votad de momento en estos 15 días de plazo vuestras mejores 50 canciones de Prince.

Bueno, todo es ponerse a ello y preparar unas encuestas con los temas por categorías (baladas, uptempos, remixes, ...). Pero tiene una dificultad y es que hay temas que a veces es complicado clasificar. De momento terminemos esta encuesta y luego, estoy seguro de que alguién tomará el relevo. Y si no hay nadie, ya he pensado alguna más para poder seguir teniendo dolores de cabeza eligiendo

¿Os habeís percatado que "She' s was always in my hair" tiene toda la pinta de volver a pasar el corte en sus dos versiones? A mí me gusta el tema pero, ¿tan bueno cómo para ser la única canción repetida entre la docena final?

Hola, Eldoctorjota. Yo no he votado ni seguido el desarrollo de ninguna de las encuestas de los últimos meses pero, por si te sirve mi opinión, te comento que considero la versión extensa de "She's Always In My Hair" como una de las joyas más sagradas de mi discoteca.

...Quiero resaltar también la selección de IwishUheaven, toda una declaración de intenciones: de "The question of U" a "F.U.N.K.", hay 17 años de diferencia.  

Hola amebaboy! Si tenemos en cuenta que F.U.N.K suena a todo menos a cualquier cosa de lo que hace en la actualidad, ahí radica la razón por la que en realidad ni siquiera considero que hayan pasado 17, es que al menos personalmente, para elegir los 50 primeros mi reloj se paró hace mucho tiempo.

Y no es que no aprecie lo que ha hecho desde 17 años hasta ahora pero quizás no tanto como para darles el beneplácito de estar entre mis 50 preferidas. Se han quedado a las puertas en mi selección: Shhh (THE GOLD EXPERIENCE); Sexy M. F. (O(+>); Empty room (C-NOTE); Gett off (DIAMONDS AND PEARLS); Somewhere here on Earth (PLANET EARTH); o Family name (The rainbow children) por poner algunos ejemplos. Lo que no seducía nada, era votar canciones que han llegado hasta aquí que personalmente no me dicen nada, por muy bonitas que me las pinten, más que me la pongan en la radio o que tengan la aceptación del respetable, no serán mis canciones "más bonitas del mundo".

También está la circunstancia de que otras, no he tenido opción de poder votarlas porque ni siquiera pasaron los cortes para llegar a la final. Entre mis canciones favoritas hay unas cuantas canciones (a bote pronto se me vienen a la mente una de "The Rainbow Children", otra de "3121", otra de  "Come" y otra de "Emancipation") que no lo son para la mayoría. En definitiva, de eso trata este juego, de coger lo de uno y lo de otro, combinarlo, y ver como queda el cuadro. Pero logicamente en una encuesta de este tipo, las sumas dictan sentencia con sus mayorías y los gustos más personales de unos y de otros quedaran tan solo como un reducto. Estoy convencido que esto nos ha pasado a tod@s en un sentido u otro.

Tengo que darte la enhorabuena porque gracias al modo en que has planteado la encuesta (tantas opciones de elegir y tantos cortes) se ha conseguido dar un trato igualitario a cualquiera de sus composiciones y aunque sea una generalidad, aquí está lo que nos gusta a la mayoría.

Me encanta la versión larga de ese tema (de hecho he votado 3 caras B que había en la lista). No discuto la calidad del tema en ninguna de sus versiones, sino que sea la única canción de Prince (y no hablamos de un artista que tiene apenas canciones) que pueda colarse dos veces en una lista tan reducida. Quiero decir, si eliges tus 12 canciones de Prince favoritas. Puedes poner "She's was always in my hair", pero en esas doce la pones en version 7" y en versión 12".
Quiero decir, ¿no hay 12 canciones diferentes de Prince que te gusten como para tener que repetir? Yo  tengo 12 distintas, El Poblado parece que no. Eso es lo que me llama la tención.

Hombre ya se que es hablar por hablar a estas alturas de la jugada. Pero mira han votado 19, y cada una se ha llevado 10 y 12 votos. Eso significa que entre 3 y 10 personas han votado a ambas canciones. Si son 3, pues es posible que una de las dos termine cayendo. Si son 10, no se si quedaría fuera de las 12. Una tercera posibilidad es que las dos versiones se repartan los votos y al final no quede nuinguna de las dos entre las 12 (cosa, que visto lo que gusta ese tema se podría calificar hasta de injusto). Como te digo es hablar por hablar, pero para eso estamos aquí, ¿no?
